We offer fully customizable kayak and hiking tours, providing your party the opportunity to paddle state of the art kayaks along the shores of Yellowstone Lake next to active geothermal features with abundant wildlife viewing opportunities. You will be paired with an experienced naturalist guide with a deep love of the park trained in wilderness medicine rescue.
If the geology and wildlife are not enough, you will have your senses tantalized with a locally sourced and curated charcuterie lunch or dinner. Smoked salmon, fresh fruit, prosciutto, artisan cheese and fresh bread are just a few of the options available to choose from. Sunrise Paddles, Twilight Floats or Grand Full Day Adventures are all possible when you are a part of the Prismatic Family!
SUNRISE PADDLE
4-5 HOURS
From $150 per person
Enjoy fresh coffee on the shores of Yellowstone Lake! Gliding along the shoreline during the golden hour of morning offers amazing light as the sun is very low on the horizon and an optimal time to be on the lake as wildlife is more likely to be active.
Our Sunrise Paddle is a half day experience of approximately 5 hours. After a brief orientation, safety talk and interactive kayak instruction, the group will paddle North West along the shore of Yellowstone Lake. Depending on weather conditions and the ability of the group, our guides will safely guide you all the way to West Thumb Geyser Basin and beyond, a rarely seen area of the park only possible to view by non-motorized boat. We take multiple breaks at scenic points along the route to stretch our legs and experience the grandeur of the lake. After touring the Geyser Basin, where dozens of geothermal features are visible above and below the water's surface, we will return along the same route, stopping for lunch and a chance to explore along the shore of the lake, arriving back at our Launch Point in Grant Marina at 1:00PM. Return time may vary depending on group size, weather, fitness, etc.
TWILIGHT PADDLE
3 HOURS
From $115 per person
Gliding along the shore during the evening golden hour offers amazing light as the sun is very low on the horizon and an optimal time to be on the lake as the wind tends to taper down in the evenings and wildlife is more likely to be active.
Our Twilight Paddle is approximately 3 hours in duration. Our guides will safely escort and educate you en-route to West Thumb Geyser Basin, an area of the lake only possible to view by non-motorized boat. After a brief orientation, thorough safety talk and interactive kayak instruction, we paddle North West along the lake shore to the West Thumb Geyser Basin, where dozens of geothermal features are visible above and below the water's surface. We will return along the same route, stopping for a brief break to stretch our legs. We will return to our Launch Point in Grant Marina and your vehicle around sunset and before dark. Return time will vary depending on the shifting time of the Sunset, group size, weather, fitness, etc.
